Teaching activities carried out in the studio are aimed at strengthening theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of conservation research, applied conservation methods and means. Students, working with historic ceramic objects, learn to assess the state of preservation and causes of damage to works of art, made in various ceramic materials, and the principles of conservation and restoration work. Thanks to this, they acquire the ability to carry out restoration works independently. The Ceramics Copy Studio that cooperates with ithe studio, introduces the student to the arcana of knowledge about old and modern ceramic techniques and technologies. Students get to know the enchanted world of ceramic masses and glazes while preparing copies of works of art, using in practice both contemporary and traditional, including outdoor ceramic kilns.
