Blended Intensive Program "The other(ness) in art and aesthetics"

The event is organised by the Doctoral School and the International Relations Office of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław from 11 to 15 May 2026.

The event, organised as part of the Erasmus+ Programme, will be attended by PhD students and lecturers from our university, as well as invited guests – PhD students and lecturers from seven international art universities in Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Norway.

We will explore the issue of otherness – from a broad perspective, both from a theoretical (philosophical and cultural studies) and artistic standpoint. The programme is further enriched by other accompanying events open to a wider academic audience – such as the conference scheduled for 14 May 2026 (at which Professor Wolfgang Welsch will deliver the opening lecture) and the exhibition running from 15 to 26 May 2026.
