The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław is the only art and design academy in Poland and Europe that has received Substantial Equivalency by NASAD (the National Association of Schools of Art. And Design), which is an accrediting organisation for art schools in the USA.

The Substantial Equivalency status is equal with other accredited programs in the United States and it is the highest recommendation an art academy outside of the US can get.

NASAD has been founded in 1944 and it currently consists of around 349 accredited institutional members. It sets the standard for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral art degrees, which means that the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław diplomas are recognized as equivalent to some of the best art and design degrees in the world.

On 16th June 2022, the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław has become a full member of the global Cumulus Association by the virtue of a vote of the General Assembly and therefore joined 257 members from 66 different countries worldwide.

Cumulus Assosiation, following the information on their website, is a „global association of art and design education and research”. It provides a dynamic platform for global mobilities as well as the exchange of knowledge, practice and research projects. All of the Cumulus aims are achieved through organising conferences, different events, working groups and partnerships, as well as sharing of research, resources and knowledge.

The application process for Cumulus Association has been carried out within the STER project task 7 'Comprehensive internationalization of the Doctoral School at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław', which is a part of Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange programme 'STER – Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools'.

The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław is a member institution of The European League of Institutes of the Arts – ELIA. It is a membership organization for higher arts education institutions. It was founded in 1990 and it represents over 300 000 students from all around the world and all art disciplines.

ELIA provides a platform for exchange as well as developlent of higher art education, creating possibilities of global cooperation, exchange of knowledge, experience as well as good practices between its members. It realises its aim by forming many working groups between members, organising many events and promoting participation in research projects.

Some of our employees from the International Relations and Promotion Department are fellow members of EAIE (European Association for International Education) – the greatest non-govermental organisation, founded in 1989, that mostly works in higher education sector. EAIE creates a platform for knowledge, experience as well as network exchange. They want to equip academic professionals with best practices as well as solutions for internationalisation challanges. They are dedicated to promote international education not only in Europe, but all over the world.
