Weapons. Landscape. Home. is an exhibition by Ukrainian artists marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The project brings together works by graduates of the Department of Contemporary Art Practices at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, who engage artistic practice as a means of reflecting on their lived experience of war.

The exhibition unfolds around three interconnected themes — Weapons, Landscape, and Home. Through installations, objects, photography, drawing, animation, and video art, the participating artists bear witness to the war and narrate it through a language that moves between documentation and metaphor. The works articulate life under conditions of constant threat, the violence inflicted upon nature, and the experience of displacement and loss of home. Documentary traces, metaphorical imagery, and personal narratives together create a space for emotional and ethical dialogue — one that addresses the fragility of the contemporary world, questions of responsibility, and the urgency of solidarity. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect collectively on how humanity can be preserved in times of radical uncertainty, and on our shared responsibility for the values that bind us.
