Bielecka Dagmara
Studies at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass, Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. Diploma completed in the studio of Prof. Zbigniew Horbowy, 2000.
In my artistic practice, two main sources of conceptual exploration can be identified. The first involves transferring inspiring, recognisable forms and motifs—visually associated with specific sets of images or symbols—into the medium of glass. By rendering the characteristics of other materials in glass, I create metaphors, associations, and meanings embodied in spatial objects and unique vessels.
The second narrative derives from inspiration drawn from nature. Using mimetic elements and structures abstracted from the world of living organisms and translated into glass, I create amorphous, abstract forms.
