Stained Glass and Graphic Actions in Glass Studio

Joanna Latawiec, dyplom magisterski

Diploma Studio

The aim of the Studio is to teach and develop students’ skills in creatively using a wide range of glass techniques within the visual arts. Particular emphasis is placed on conscious artistic expression by combining traditional stained-glass and graphic techniques with the student’s own artistic voice, and preparing them for independent creative work.

The Studio focuses on classical stained-glass techniques using lead framing and stained-glass painting, treated as full-fledged artistic means of expression. Students create site-specific installations, series of glass panels, three-dimensional objects, and multi-element compositions.

A key element of the Studio’s approach is experimentation, the search for a personal visual language, and the integration of glass with other materials or media, such as video, sound, or performance.
