Welcome Week
From 29 September to 3 October 2025 over 30 international students (from the Erasmus+ Programme exchange, the 1st year of MFA in Visual Arts and the Doctoral School) had the opportunity to participate in Welcome Week organized by the International Cooperation and Promotion Department with the support of the Buddy Programme participants.
During five intense days, students obtained essential information about studying at the Academy, got to know Wrocław, integrated, and acclimatized to their new surroundings
Welcome Day: Students were officially welcomed and received promotional materials as well as an information package. They also had the opportunity to tour the campus and participate in the library training. At lunchtime, they took part in a cooking workshop on how to make dumplings, which they could then eat.
Wrocław Day: On this day, we explored Wrocław together with a guided tour of the historic part of the city. Additionally, we explored the city from a less obvious perspective, namely from the deck of a ship. The day ended with a traditional, Polish lunch in a restaurant.
Board Game Day: As part of the integration, we played various board and card games together and solved a difficult quiz about Poland. The winners of the quiz received small gifts. In the evening, we met in a less formal atmosphere at Sztuka na Miejscu.
Museum Day: We continued to explore Wrocław's cultural heritage and falvours by visiting the Panorama of Battle of Racławice and the Four Domes Pavilion as well as by tasting the local pastries in one of the cafés.
City Game Day: Students took part in a city game prepared by the IRO that led them to hidden art treasures in Wrocław connected with our university.
Once again, we warmly welcome our students and wish them a fruitful and inspiring journey at our Academy!
