Västmanland - dzień I

We are in Sweden, in a town called Sala in which 'Tärna folkhögskola' (http://tarna.fhsk.se/) is located.

'Folkhögskola' is something between our Polish high school and college. Here in 'Tärna folkhögskola' you can follow the ordinary school program (with maths, biology etc.), but you can also choose film, writing or medical courses. Apart from that students have an access to a beautiful library with a terrace, chill-out rooms, gymnasium with a 19th century painting on the ceiling and also a swimming pool and sauna. The whole school and dormitories are surrounded by fields, forests and we do not have to say that it is a perfect place.

During our today's breakfast not all of us were able to communicate normally since we were still exhausted after the very long journey from Wrocław to Sala. We have met the Swedish group and we will have workshops together this week. They have not given us time to rest or laze about, so we have already started our work.

Today we are participating in the film workshop which will continue till tomorrow. We are working in mixed groups and our task is to answer the topic 'Landscape and Letters'. To make short movies we went to the forest and to a place where there used to be a silver mines. We have also learnt some basics of Adobe Premiere which we will use tomorrow for editing of our short movies.

The first day we are finishing with talks and snacks and then – swimming and a visit in the sauna. The best option ever!
