The Stanislav Libenský Award (SLA) is a prestigious international competition and exhibition that annually showcases the finest graduate works in the field of artistic glass from around the world. The project bears the name of the legendary Czech glass artist and educator Stanislav Libenský.

The main goal of the SLA is to support young and emerging artists in their transition from student to professional life, to facilitate their entry into the international art scene, and to present to the public and collectors the most current creations emerging in contemporary glass art.

Who is the call for?

  • Artists under 25 years of age, regardless of whether they are currently studying
  • Graduates of Bachelor's and Master's programs from the years 2025 and 2026, with no age limit

What are the prizes?

  • Grand Prize: The winner will receive an artist residency at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School in the United States of America.
  • Exhibition in Prague: The selected works of 50 finalists will be exhibited in the autumn of 2026 in the representative historical premises of the Clam-Gallas Palace in the center of Prague.

Important dates:

  • June 30, 2026: Deadline for applications with a reduced registration fee (early bird fee).
  • August 31, 2026: Final deadline for all applications.
  • Announcement of selection: September 15, 2026
  • Gala evening and exhibition opening: November 30, 2026
  • Exhibition: December 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027
