Diploma Studio

The aim of education in the Studio is to foster the development of students’ creative personalities and to prepare them mentally and technically to undertake design tasks related to functional glass, as well as to realise their own concepts within the field of utilitarian objects made of glass. The programme focuses on developing analytical thinking, defining design problems, accurately identifying user needs, and understanding the relationships between form, function, and glass production technologies.

The key aspect of working with students in the Studio is stimulating creativity and originality of formal solutions through the exploration of new applications of glass in the context of utility. The Studio is characterised by combining glass with various materials and media, as well as by engaging with social, environmental, and cultural contexts. One of the leading areas of focus is lighting design, with prototyping of design concepts
