Żurek Jacek
Architect, interior architect, designer, painter, art curator, professor at the Department of Interior Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Conservation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Habilitated at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Author of publications for trade press, scientific publications, and reviews of architectural designs commissioned by public institutions. His artistic achievements include projects in the field of residential architecture, small architecture, interior design, exhibition design, television and opera set design, and collectible design, including unique furniture, commissioned by companies, diplomatic missions, and private investors. Author of posters for mega-spectacles and performances of the Wrocław Opera, as well as art installations in urban spaces promoting Wrocław as the organizer of Euro 2012 and the Wratislavia Cantans festival. Member of the jury in design competitions. Since 2016, member of the Silesium artistic group. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, three-time winner of the Wrocław Mayor's Cup for taking first place in the Wrocław VIP Kayak Regatta as a representative of the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts. In 2025, he was honored with the Lower Silesian Province Marshal's Award for outstanding achievements in the field of culture.
