Bartniak-Król Kinga
In 2019, she graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław with a degree in Graphic Arts.
I am a visual researcher, graphic designer, and STEAM educator. In my practice, I combine graphic design – a discipline created with the audience in mind – with artistic research. Each new topic I explore in its natural context, immersing myself in the environment that shapes it. When I was researching the happiness industry and corporate culture, I visited offices; when working with the theme of the horse, I spent time at racetracks, talking to trainers.
I work mainly with moving images (video, lenticular print), installation, and textiles (computer embroidery, sewing). I treat digital files as graphic matrices – tools for creating prints and repetitions. Narrativity is central to my work – the visual story that allows identification with a situation.
I have participated in numerous artist residencies and exhibitions in Poland and abroad. My interests revolve around relationships between the human and non-human worlds, especially wild plants as metaphors of resilience and coexistence.
