We cordially invite you to the opening of the Contemporary Polish Printmaking Exhibition which takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 12:15 in Stara Kopalnia, Centre of Science and Art in Wałbrzych, 28 Wysockiego st.

The founder and curator of the Contemporary Polish Printmaking Exhibition is Professor Christopher Nowicki, head of the Studio of Serigraph Printing in the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, who five years ago organised this unique international presentation of Polish Graphic Art. As he said, „It is a great, important event for Polish Printmakers. A collection of Contemporary Polish Printmaking in this size has never been presented abroad. It is a representative presentation of what is happening now in the Polish Graphic Arts. At the exhibition are shown the latest prints by Polish artists."

With a huge effort, support and commitment to the entire project of Prof. Jacek Szewczyk and Prof. Piotr Kielan on October 20, 2010 took place the opening of the first exhibition at the Museum of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Art in Tianjin, China. A year later, the work of more than one hundred artists was shown at the Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea and then it was shown in India, at the Lalit Kala Academy Gallery in New Dehli. The penultimate stop was an exhibition at the prestigious National Museum of Art in Porto, Portugal.

After a long journey the works are returning to Poland and will be shown at the opening of the Stara Kopalnia in Wałbrzych. This is an unusual opportunity to see hundreds of works of well-known Polish Printmakers in one place.

Project will be exhibited until March 2015.
