The aim of the course is to convey and broaden knowledge and skills in the field of artistic printmaking and artistic book, practical application of intaglio and relief print techniques, allowing for free artistic expression formulated with the use of graphic means of expression in the form of mini-prints, monumental prints and artistic books.

Description

In the studio, students are educated in the area of artistic printmaking and artistic book. The printmaking techniques they learn are mainly drypoint, etching, aquatint, linocut and related techniques, such as vernis mou. Classes take the form of individual consultations, corrections, and lectures. Students prepare original graphic designs in the form of a coherent cycle or an artistic book. It is an open programme, based on freedom of decision and action.

    Enrolment terms

    The main condition to be fulfilled in order to become a student of the Studio is to obtain credits for the course in Rudiments of Artistic Printmaking and to complete the course in the Studio. We also take into account the candidate's level of engagement in the classes, discipline, diligence and responsibility.
