OBJECTIVE

Do you want to illustrate books? Then you have come to the right place - we will teach you to invent books from beginning to end. Together we will search for an artistic language, look for ways to tell stories with pictures, the inspiration will make you dizzy and the possibilities offered by contemporary illustration will make you fall head over heels for it. You will get such a kick that you will fly straight to the illustration galaxy.

DESCRIPTION

The Studio of Illustration is filled with hundreds of beautiful books, ready to inspire you and recharge your batteries with creative energy. Here you will find a variety of approaches, techniques, styles and evidence that the world of illustration is limited only by the imagination and talent of the creators. Here, we learn to interpret mainly literary texts, but we also create original graphic novels where the image itself is the carrier of narration. 365 Days of the Mouse by Weronika Leciak, a guide to Karkonosze by Malwina Hajduk and a guide to modernist Wrocław by Radosław Suliga, the history of jazz by Szymon Palka, a story about erotic motifs in the Bible by Iga Brzezińska, pre-war matrimonial advertisements and those from contemporary dating portals illustrated by Beata Filipowicz - these are just some of the many examples - in nine years over seventy students have graduated from our studio. The diversity of topics and forms undertaken by them shows that almost anything can become the subject of an illustrated book. We respect each personality and strongly support them in their search for their own artistic language. We believe that true art, like that of Rembrandt, Velazquez and Picasso, lives on in illustration today.
