    Fundamentals of Printmaking

Graduate of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Faculty of Graphics and Media Art, field of studies: printmaking.

My artistic practice is a synthesis of painting, printmaking and experimental forms, objects on paper. In the spontaneous process of creation, completely intuitive images are created. Using automatic drawing, I often arrive at improvised images. The final form is open; it is also a field of opportunities for the viewer's imagination and interpretation. The works express admiration for the structure of the world; I explore the phenomenon of life and nature from the universal and personal perspectives. The Buddhist thought with phenomenological concerns, mind and body – nature and universe. Images with vivid colours, filled with bimorphic shapes resemble a microcosm of things, a fragment of an image of the world on the micro and macro scales. Observation of its structure and interest in the invisible relations that shape this world is a search for the spiritual dimension in art. Inspired by botany and mystical symbols, as well as Eastern philosophy, I combine my own experience with contemporary cosmology and science. In printmaking, I work mainly in the intaglio and monotype techniques – in original editions – treating each subsequent print individually.
