The announcement of the Rector of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław on the organization of studies in the winter semester of the academic year 2020/2021

Ladies and Gentlemen, Lecturers, Students and PhD students,

having regard to the safety of the entire academic community of our Academy, in the face of the currently prevailing epidemic situation and taking into account the possibility of its dynamic changes, I would like to inform that, as a result of the conversations and consultations carried out among the University authorities, a position regarding the organisation of studies in the winter semester/academic year 2020/2021 has been formulated.

A consensual decision has been made to conduct classes at our University in a mixed form, the so-called hybrid formula. Therefore, part of the classes will be conducted exclusively in the digital form, including above all lectures and language classes. The part of the classes concerning the subjects of art and design studios, workshops, seminars, exercises and laboratories will be conducted in a stationary mode according to detailed schedules, or in a mixed mode, stationary and online, divided into groups.

In turn, the part of the classes conducted in the art and design studios, workshops, seminars, exercises and laboratories will be held in stationary mode according to detailed schedules or in mixed stationary and on- line mode with division into groups.

Both stationary and non-stationary classes will be conducted in accordance with the sanitary regime in force, taking into account the generally applicable regulations, decisions, recommendations and guidelines of the State Sanitary Inspectorate bodies and in accordance with the rules established at the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw.

Detailed issues concerning the organization of work and education will be announced on September 18. Simultaneously, the start date of classes has been set for October 6, 2020.

With respect and wishes of health,

The Rector

Prof. Wojciech Pukocz
