Jacek Szewczyk - born 1958 in Wrocław, Poland
Born in 1958 in Wrocław. Studied at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design in Wrocław. In 1982 he got a degree with honour within the area of graphic design. Since 2003, as a full professor he has been running the studio of Printmaking. Since 2008 the studio of creative drawing. In 2005 he has been chosen the president of The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design in Wrocław for the term of 2005 - 2008. In 2008 he has been chosen second time the president of the Academy for the term 2008 - 2012.

Apart from regular work at the Academy, he deals with graphics, drawings and graphic design. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions, graphic and drawings competitions in Poland and abroad. He has been often awarded with prizes and honours.

Works in collections: The National Library in Warsaw, The Ossoliński National Institute in Wrocław, The National Museum in Wrocław, Cabinet of Prints at The Polish Academy of Science in Cracow, Boras Kunstmuseum and Norrbottens Lands Landstig - Lulea/Sweden, Botkyrka,Lulea and Falun Kommun/Sweden, Grafikens Hus Mariefred - Sweden and private collections.
