The meeting will be jointly hosted by The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wrocław
We offer a modern, fully-equipped lecture room in a new, impressive building, opened two years ago, which is situated about 7 mins walking distance from the main Academy building and about 10-15 mins walking distance from the city centre and the old town.
Wrocław – the place of 100 bridges – is a beautiful and friendly city. As well as the historical Old Town and Ostrow Tumski Island, it is known as a university city, full of student life and activity. Wrocław describes itself as “the meeting place” and will be the European Capital of Culture in 2016.
Exploring “glass” during excursions in the city, as well as guided tours in the National Museum and the Museum of Architecture’s stained-glass, glass and ceramics collections, will provide added value to the conference programme.
In addition, excursions to the nearby Museum of Karkonosz in Jelenia Góra, with the biggest glass collection in Poland, as well as to the Museum in Walbrzych, with an interesting collection based on ceramic design and art, will be offered.
